Maharashtra Assembly Elections date announced!
The Election Commission of India announced the dates for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly Elections on Tuesday.
Maharashtra will cast its vote in a single phase on November 20. Jharkhand on the other hand will have its voting in two phases- on November 13 and November 20. The counting of votes for both states will take place on November 23.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) conducted a press conference on November 15. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar made the announced it. In the conference, ECI declared the poll schedule along with the declaration of the ‘Model Code of Conduct’ that has come into force in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

The total no. of voters for Maharashtra is 9.63 Crore with 1,00,186 polling stations. For Jharkhand, it is 2.6 Crore voters and 29, 562 polling stations.
