Indian Air Force Day 2024
Indian Air Force Day is observed annually on October 8. This day is celebrated to honour our country's servicemen and pilots who have sacrificed their lives for country and to mark the formation of the Indian Air Force. The Indian Air Force (IAF) was officially established on 8 October 1932 as an auxiliary air force of the British Empire.
We are honouring this 92nd anniversary of the celebration of the forces in Chennai's Marina Beach this year, in 2024, with an IAF airshow on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The theme for Indian Air Force Day 2024 is 'Bharatiya Vayusena: Saksham, Sashakt aur Aatmnirbhar' (Potent, Powerful, and Self-Reliant). The prominent guests for the upcoming Indian Air Force Day festivities are, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. This will mark a variety of events exhibiting its capabilities and accomplishments.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh and Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam will also be in present at the event.
